Our design was created by local talent and inspiration, and in honor of Gilbert Baker.
Gilbert, designer of the Pride Flag and a.k.a. “the gay Betsy Ross”, passed away March 31, 2017. The PRIDE L-A logo was designed to employ all eight colors from his original 1978 design. The colors stream down the image to represent the great falls, and blend into one another to symbolize love and solidarity.

In 2018 the Pride L/A committee agreed to add black and brown circles to the logo as a symbol of our commitment to racial justice in our community and beyond.
